Dear Mr. Priebus,
You have a great opportunity to facilitate change the course of our nation. I realize that elections at the congressional district level carry much less weight than presidential elections, and that the latter is, and rightly should be, the predominant focus of the RNC this year.
However, there are some smaller elections that warrant greater attention than others. The race for Arizona's CD-3 is one such race. It is a prime opportunity to elect a conservative and get rid of the progressive nightmare that is Raul Grijalva. I am referring to the candidacy of Gabriela Saucedo Mercer.
Saucedo Mercer has trod a very inspiring path up to her decision to run for Representative of AZ CD-3. A native of Mexico, she became an American citizen - the right way - in 1996. She came in pursuit of the real American dream, not some hollow thing called the Dream Act. She learned the language, the history and the meaning of the Constitution as part of her citizenship requirements. You can read more about her positions on various issues at gabbyforcongress.org. Saucedo Mercer has been endorsed by the Phoenix Law Enforcement Association, the Arizona Police Association, Arizona congressman Trent Franks, and Lt. Gen. William G. Boykin, USA Ret.
I am writing you because her cause is in desperate need of funds. Arizona's CD-3 is not a wealthy district. Much of it is rural and runs along the border with Mexico. And yet its current representative has done so much to damage Arizona and the United States as co-chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus. He has amassed a great deal of power which not only damages America but does little to represent his consituents, who need jobs.
There are two major projects on the table in CD-3, which Gabby, as she is known, endorses and which Grijalva wants to shut down on environmental grounds. One is the proposed Rosemont copper mine, which has gone to extroardinary lengths to work with the people of southern Arizona, and would bring on the order of 500+ jobs. The other project is a new refinery in Yuma, Arizona, which would be the first built in America in 30 years. Both of these projects would be a boon to southern Arizona.
So there is great need, but also great opportunity, both on a local level and a national one. I am asking you please, to allocate a generous amount of money to help get Gabriela Saucedo Mercer elected in Arizona CD-3.
